Well, I managed to get Issue No. 002 out. I do feel really good about it, and I am pleased with how it came out. I want to thank everyone who donated and contributed to this issue. It really does mean a lot to readers to read another tone and voice compared to mine (and to me, haha). I know there are probably mistakes; actually, I am almost positive there are, but I do my best to edit everything and read over everything. I spent many nights up until about 3 am going over everything, from editing to page design. Please give feedback on this issue, especially how it reads now that it's not physical but still gives you a feel of turning pages. I think I'll use the bookshelf style a little more and put out a mid-sized photo book with an article here or there, but mostly photos.
I do my best to bring meaningful stories and articles to the readers. I also enjoy the poems, interviews, and articles that are sent in. It all goes great with the Pipe & Leaf Journal niche. I want this to be casual to read. Something that you can sit down with a pipe and just read; that’s it, nothing special. If I ever veer from that, you let me know!
So with all that said, I will take the rest of this week to relax and make some notes on ideas for next issue. We already have a few people submitting and maybe some returning, so that is great news. Again, give the feedback if there is any; I need all the feedback that I can get- it’s the only way I can improve. Until the next blog and issue….
